I graduated AFP this past Sunday!! I had two great jumps and one very educational jump. One step closer to my license. This video was my second jump of the day – first time doing flips, so use your imagination on that front flip.
It’s tough to describe the feeling as you progress through the stages of skydiving, even this early on. From the first wobbly time they let me go in flight, to working on flips and barrel rolls. As my techniques improve, the experience becomes that much more incredible. The constant balance of fear and freedom that comes with is wild. Butterflies drunk on adrenaline still thunder through me everytime that plane door opens. As soon as I step out, it all goes away. It’s beautiful.
I still have a long way to go but am absolutely loving the ride. There is always a never ending amount of questions you have or advice you seek when your strapping a parachute on your back, about to jump out of a plane. Skydive Cross Keys in New Jersey and the coaches there have made this whole experience incredible.
Many more to come!
